The ENERGY GLOBE World Awards in Rwanda

This year‘s international Energy Globe TV gala opened the 2010 UN World Environment Day on 3 June, in the host country Rwanda. The event was organised by GEG Agency in Kigali including a tv production which has been requested by 400 tv stations and is broadcast with more than 500 hours broadcast time worldwide. Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame, well reputated for his green initiatives, was presented an Energy Globe Honorary Award. In total 106 nations participated with 884 projects in the Energy Globe Competition 2009.

The Rwanda-Expedition is
back. Now planning is underway at full speed for the program of the Energy
Globe Gala. Coordination is necessary for numerous international journalists, artists
and guests of honor, especially high-ranking politicians – and naturally the
nominees for the Energy Globe World Award.

The countdown is on: In less
than four weeks, on 3 June 2010, the Energy Globe World Awards will be
presented – this year for the first time in Rwanda. The Energy Globe World
Awards serve as the official opening event for the UNEP World Environment Day. Thus
GEG Agency’s award team is traveling to Kigali
today to organize the Gala and the framework program on site.
